Early Childhood

Nulsen Primary School Early Childhood Education (ECE) consists of the Kindilink program, two Kindy classes, one Pre-primary class and one P/1 class.

Our Early Childhood program provides students with many opportunities to explore, learn and grow.  Students participate in a high-quality program based on the Western Australian Curriculum, Kindergarten Curriculum Guidelines and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).

This a successful teaching tool which encourages confidence, growth and success in our students. It is underpinned with a focus on social and emotional learning through the TRIBES and Mind Up programs.  

The teaching and learning program encourages and establishes strong foundation skills built through: 

• stories, rhymes, songs and dramatic play, 

• well planned language and numeracy activities, which can be teacher or child directed, 

• the development of motor skills through art, craft, music and games, and

• sensory experiences such as cooking, tactile and small world play.
